With gallerygathering.com.au, we set out to create a marketplace that works better for both artists and collectors. Too often, artists face high commission fees that eat into their income, while collectors encounter high prices that put original work out of reach.
We’ve taken a different approach.
Every artist on the platform is carefully curated to ensure a consistent level of quality. This isn’t about volume—it’s about presenting work that people can genuinely connect with and feel confident buying.
At the same time, we’ve introduced two key principles: lower commissions for artists and a price ceiling of $1,500 per artwork. Lower commissions mean artists retain more of the value they create, while the price cap ensures that collectors can access original art without intimidation or excessive cost.
